Tener Hambre:
To be hungry. Tener hambre. "Tener hambre" means "to be hungry" in Spanish, which describes the feeling of needing or wanting to eat.
Example:
“Tener hambre” means “to be hungry,” but literally it’s “to have hunger.” Picture yourself holding an empty plate as a giant HAMBuRgEr floats just out of reach: that hamburger is your reminder of hambre! Your stomach growls, “¡Tengo hambre!”—“I’m hungry!” In Spanish, you don’t BE hungry; you HAVE hunger—and hopefully, soon, a hamburger.
