What does Perder mean?

Practice Version

Perder:
To lose. Perder. In Spanish, "perder" means to misplace or fail to keep something.
Example:
Perder means “to lose.” Imagine a washing machine issuing a “PAIR DARE”: “Put in a pair of socks—I dare you to get both back!” Perder (roughly “pehr-DEHR”) sounds a little like “pair dare,” and that mysteriously missing sock makes the meaning unforgettable: perder = to lose.
